The Founding Story
The company was founded by musician and producer Dori Lobel, who wanted to offer a better, more accessible alternative to designers, marketing firms, and corporate clients. Located at 137 N. Larchmont Blvd in Los Angeles, Music House LA specializes in music creation, production, and other key aspects of the music industry.
Dori Lobel is a central figure in the company. The American musician, songwriter, composer, and producer began his professional career at age 18. He’s widely recognized for his role as the house band guitarist on NBC’s “The Voice.” Throughout his career, he has performed with many famous artists, including the Backstreet Boys, Colbie Caillat, Jesse McCartney, Hilary Duff, and Enrique Iglesias.
Born in Boston and raised in Israel, Lobel served a mandatory three-year term in the Israel Defense Forces, where he was assigned to the Military Intelligence Corps research division. Near the end of his service, he landed a spot as the guitarist in the house band, which was one of the most famous bands in Israel at the time. In 2003, Lobel moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream, a journey you can read more about here.

His LA Education
Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Lobel enrolled in the Guitar Program at the Musicians Institute, a private music school in Hollywood. On his very first day, he tested out of 12 months of the 18-month program and went on to complete the entire Professional Guitar Program in just six months.
Lobel also holds a Master of Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where he earned three certificates in the entertainment industry, entrepreneurship, and marketing. He was a Dean’s Scholar for Excellence in Leadership.
A major turning point in Lobel’s career came in 2004 when he was invited to play guitar on Jesse McCartney’s “Beautiful Soul” tour. This led to him co-writing 11 of the 12 songs on McCartney’s album, “Right Where You Want Me.” Released in 2006 by Hollywood Records, the album debuted at number 15 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and made it into the top 10 in Europe and Asia.
When he’s not on tour, Lobel works full-time as a songwriter and producer. He lives in Hollywood, where Music House LA is located, and is signed with Kobalt Music Publishing.

Dori Lobel and The Voice
Dori Lobel is the music director and lead guitarist for the Emmy-winning show “The Voice” (as of 2024). The American singing competition, which premiered in 2011, is based on the original “The Voice of Holland” and is part of “The Voice” franchise. It features four coaches who critique performances, mentor their teams throughout the season, and compete against each other for the winning coach title.
The season kicks off with the “Blind Auditions,” where coaches build their teams, which can range from 8 to 16 artists. “The Voice” captivates audiences every season, always keeping them on the edge of their seats.
Lobel has also performed with the house bands for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (NBC), “The Kelly Clarkson Show” (NBC), and “The Masked Singer” (FOX). His music has been featured in numerous TV shows and commercials.
